تأهل الياباني كي نيشيكوري لنصف نهائي بطولة برزبين للتنس المقامة في أستراليا بفوزه الصعب على البلغاري غريغور ديميتروف بمجموعتين دون رد.
وتمكن اللاعب الياباني من إنهاء أولى المجموعات بسبعة أشواط مقابل خمسة، ليكرر النتيجة ذاتها في المجموعة الثانية ويتمكن من إحراج المصنف الـ19 عالمياً في مباراة استغرقت ساعة وأربعين دقيقة بين اللاعبين.
ليواجه نيشيكوري في الدور قبل النهائي منافسه الفرنسي جيريمي شاردي والذي تمكن من إقصاء الياباني الآخر ياسوتاكا أوشياما مساء أمس.
